About

The Max Planck Research Group on Evolutionary Genomics of Complex Traits led by Luisa F. Pallares is located at the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory of the Max Planck Society, in beautiful Tübingen, Germany.

We are primarily interested in the robustness of complex traits and use Drosophila as a model system. How is such phenotypic robustness regulated? how much of that is genetic? how does robustness in certain phenotypes constraints variability in others? how does robustness evolves given certain environmental perturbations? why are some individuals more resistant to perturbations than others? If any of these questions sound interesting to you, get in touch!

Prospective PhD students should take a look at our grad school page for open positions: International Max Planck Research School. If the application deadline has passed but you are *really* interested, just a get in touch with Luisa.
